Fors Marsh Group (FMG), a research-first consultancy that applies behavioral expertise to society’s greatest challenges, has been recognized as an Employer of National Service (EONS) for its recruitment efforts to attract AmeriCorps alumni and returned Peace Corps volunteers for employment and advancement opportunities. The EONS initiative began under President Obama in 2014 to celebrate AmeriCorps’ 20th anniversary. The EONS program aims to connect AmeriCorps alumni and returned Peace Corps volunteers with public, private, and non-profit sector employers to create better recruitment, hiring, and career advancement prospects.

As a recognized employer, FMG now has access to a pool of dedicated, highly qualified, and mission‐oriented talent, as well as alumni job boards and job fairs across the country. As an EONS, FMG can connect to over one million AmeriCorps and 240,000 Peace Corps alumni with leadership, teamwork, flexibility, and critical thinking experience learned through first-hand national service and civic engagement.

“We recognize that our impact extends beyond our organizational walls, and we take our responsibility to build and strengthen our local and national communities seriously,” said FMG CEO Ben Garthwaite. “As an organization that is committed to equity, we recognize that national service has the potential to transform communities by strengthening support services and opportunities while simultaneously addressing societal issues that are rooted in injustice and inequity. We know that national service experiences create people who prioritize innovation, problem-solving, engagement, and community commitment—all of which are skills that are critical in the work that we do every day.”

As a certified B Corp, FMG realizes its responsibility to promote volunteerism and civic engagement. By becoming an EONS, FMG elevates the profile of national service and becomes part of the solution by creating innovative and creative ways for the public and private sectors to link together. At a recent event, AmeriCorps’ Chief of External Affairs, Sri Preston Kulkarni, remarked, “FMG is leading the way!”
