Val Verde Regional Medical Center Keeps Patients Engaged At Home Through Expanse Remote Patient Monitoring

Over the past year, COVID-19 has taken its toll on healthcare accessibility — especially for elderly and chronically ill patients, who are at the highest risk for severe disease if they become infected in public spaces like doctors’ offices.

To help keep these patients on track while staying safe at home, Val Verde Regional Medical Center (Del Rio, TX) instituted a remote patient monitoring (RPM) program in conjunction with MEDITECH’s Patient Portal and Raziel Health. The program provides hypertensive and diabetic patients with Raziel blood glucose monitors and scales that can quickly transmit patient vitals to the cloud and Val Verde’s Expanse EHR.
